Artist Profile, Margaret Sweeney

Margaret graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree
in graphic design and went to work in advertising. Throughout her career
Margaret Sweeney always painted in her spare time. Seven years ago she
decided to make the break and devote herself to painting full time.

Several times throughout the year, Margaret travels to Holmes County,
Ohio where she does paintings of the Amish and surrounding countryside.
Her work is shown in local galleries.

Three paintings "Back Alley Blues", "Mooney's Cottage", and "Cedar Key Inn" have won international
awards and traveled in exhibitions in the US and abroad. Her paintings and prints are in galleries in
California, Texas, New York, Georgia, and Florida.

In the last two years she started painting her pug Brutus and developed a series of successful Limited
Edition Fine Art Pug Prints. Margaret Sweeney is now branching out into other breeds as well.

Margaret lives in Florida with her Sheltie, Shannon.
