Michael Morshuk
| Michael Morshuk was born in 1963 and raised in Rochelle
Park, NJ. He found an interest in drawing during his grammar school
years, thanks in part to a book about the great artist, Andrew
Wyeth. Michael went on to Hackensack High School where he won the
school's art scholarship award. Attending New York City's School of
Visual Arts, he received his bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1985,
majoring in Illustration.
Upon graduation he worked for several years at New Jersey's Dottinger Design firm.

| He began illustrating for several
publications including: "Connecticut Magazine", "Fairfield
County Weekly", "Hudson Valley Magazine", and "The
Atlantic Monthly". By 1999 Michael Morshuk received the
"Best in Show - Mixed Media" award from the Society of Creative
Arts of Newtown, CT. (SCAN) for his painting "Behind the
Pines". "Approaching Monhegan" was awarded in the SCAN
2001 Spring Juried Show. Currently his works are featured in the
Lupine Gallery on Monhegan Island, Maine. The Grey Horse Gallery of
Sandy Hook, CT. also shows Michaels' art.
The family lives in Newtown, CT where one can fine Mike working in his studio ... AKA "The Doghouse".
