Lesley McVicar
| Born in Scotland, Lesley emigrated to Canada in 1990. A self taught artist, she has painted in watercolour for over 20 years. Having worked as a Veterinary Technician for 15 years both in England and in Canada, Lesley worked on her art in her spare time, focusing mainly on animal art, before embarking on a full time career in art in 2003. Her commissioned paintings are in numerous private collections in Canada. Her many years of experience working with animals have sharpened her instincts and proved invaluable in portraying the many behaviours, emotions and expressions of dogs in her paintings. Lesley lives on a hobby farm in North Glengarry County, Eastern Ontario, with her family and 4 large mixed breed dogs and 4 cats. |
