Because I really like its simplicity, pencil is one
of my favorite mediums. Single-subject graphite animal portraits are
approximately 12x15 in size, come double-matted to fit a standard 16x20
frame and cost $600. Graphite portraits of bridled horses and portraits
of people, which are more time consuming to create, are priced at $800.
The size for an acrylic or oil portrait will vary to fit the subject, but the standard canvas is approximately 18x24. These paintings are priced from $1,200. Pastel and Conte Crayon paintings on velour paper are approximately 18x24, and are also priced from $1,200.

Painting prices are dependent upon the size and
complexity of each individual piece. A second figure in any portrait
costs an additional 50% of the base price, and the size of the painting
or drawing is increased accordingly.

When working on specific commissions, I shoot a
minimum of five rolls of film per subject. However, if I am unable to
meet with you personally, I can also work off photographs you provide.
Clear (and, if your camera permits, close-up) photos of the eyes are
especially helpful, as they really are the windows to the soul. If you
are not in my local area I can still arrange a personal photo session,
but of course this will involve additional travel expenses.

Although the time taken to complete a portrait is contingent upon my workload at any given time, I can generally finish a project within eight to ten weeks of obtaining photographs. If you have a special occasion and time is of the essence, I am happy to accommodate to your timeline if I am able to. Please Contact Me At: lichtenstein@muttart.com
