In 1996 she was honored to have her artwork chosen as the cover of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America's 'Artists To The Rescue' Calendar. Paula's art has also been awarded as trophies at specialty and all breed shows as well as special recognitions of achievement by the German Shepherd Dog Club of America. Her artwork has been featured on the cover of the German Shepherd Times as well as in local newspapers. Initially P. Isenbarg began working in pencils and watercolors doing commissioned portraits of the wonderfully noble, intelligent German Shepherd and has since worked in several medias rendering private commissions of many breeds and breed mixes. A former exhibitor of German Shepherd dogs an obedience instructor Paula Isenbarg has intimate hands-on experience with many breeds of dogs. A supporter of breed rescue programs she has donated her time and original art to assist in their support and aid. Paula loves to do comical breed caricatures on note cards and donate a portion of the sale proceeds back to breed rescues. Paula is currently sharing her home and heart with her wonderful husband, their blue merle Australian Shepherd and at least one foster dog. |
